Pitt receiver charged with indecent assault
Sunday, May 10, 2009

Pitt sophomore wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin was charged with a misdemeanor indecent assault as well as summary harassment and a summary disorderly conduct after an alleged incident on a campus shuttle bus involving a female student on April 19th.

Baldwin, who is an Aliquippa graduate, will have a preliminary hearing on May 27th.

Pitt head coach Dave Wannstedt was not available for comment but athletic department spokesman E.J. Borghetti issued a statement which read, "the matter is currently under investigation and until that investigation reaches a conclusion we will decline comment."

Baldwin caught 18 passes for 404 yards and three touchdowns last season as a freshman.

He is the second Panthers receiver to get into trouble with the law this year as TJ Porter was dismissed from the team after he was arrested for DUI on Feb. 22nd, Porter's second DUI arrest in less than a year.
