An important part of Great Outdoors Week, the annual Venture Outdoors Festival moves this year to the newly renovated Point State Park, Downtown. Ever wanted to test a climbing wall? Explore the physics of fly casting? Paddle a dragon boat to the beat of drum? The Venture Outdoors Festival offers seven hours of free mentored exploration of outdoors recreational activities. Registered participants can fish the Allegheny River without a fishing license, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and Venture Outdoors.
