Defenseman Kris Letang, injured late in the Penguins' 4-3 loss to Washington in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series in Washington last night, is questionable for Game 3 at Mellon Arena tomorrow night.
Letang was hurt when he was checked by Washington defenseman Mike Green with a little more than six minutes remaining. Letang appeared at first to have injured his shoulder, but that apparently was not the case, although the Penguins declined to offer specifics.
"It's a strength issue, not an injury issue," Coach Dan Bylsma said today.
He added that Letang was being examined today to determine the precise nature and severity of his condition.
