From the north, west and south, it is recommended that drivers follow Route 28 to the 40th Street Bridge, taking 40th Street across Butler Street and uphill to Penn Avenue, turning left and proceeding to 44th Street.

From the eastern suburbs, Parkway East drivers are recommended to take the Edgewood exit, South Braddock Avenue to Penn Avenue west to Lawrenceville. Allegheny River Boulevard drivers can take Butler Street to 44th Street.

Children's Hospital's main patient entrance is at the intersection of 45th Street and Penn Avenue. Parking entrance is to the right of the entrance; the Emergency Department entrance is along the left side, on 44th Street.
