3 firefighters injured in White Oak crash
Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Three firefighters were injured in White Oak yesterday when their fire truck slid off a roadway and fell on its side.

All three firefighters were treated and released from UPMC McKeesport, according to Chief Sean Leffard of the Rainbow Volunteer Fire Co.

The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m., when the fire company was responding to a call for a blaze in a shed at 301 Will Court. The road partially collapsed as one of the company's two fire trucks was driving at 10 miles per hour. There were four firefighters on the truck at the time.
