Pittsburgh native and "Ghost Whisperer" actor David Conrad recently donated his $300,000 art collection -- including photography, paintings, prints and sculptures -- to his high school alma mater, The Kiski School.
"What better place than Kiski?" Mr. Conrad said of his gift. "The boys there get exposed to all types of art, they get used to it in their daily lives, and maybe a few of them choose it as career path. My way of giving back."
Almost all of the artists have a past or present Western Pennsylvania connection, including painters Robert Qualters, Ron Donoughe, Colin Noonan, John Sokol, Kevin Kutz -- a 1973 Kiski graduate -- Italian-born Florentine artist Fabrizio Gerbino and nationally acclaimed documentary photographer, Charlee Brodsky, whose Homestead Collection is part of Conrad's gift.
The 151 artworks have been placed at campus buildings.
