Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. said Gwendolyn K. Manto has left her position as executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for the Findlay retailer, effective yesterday.

The company doesn't expect to replace her in the position but instead will reconfigure its merchandising structure under Edward W. Stack, chairman and chief executive officer, and Joseph H. Schmidt, president and chief operating officer, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Ms. Manto, a former Sears executive, joined the company in January 2006.
