The Austrian American Cultural Society holds Austrian Ball
Tuesday, April 14, 2009

The Austrian American Cultural Society was founded in Pittsburgh in 1978, and almost 20 years after that it realized one of its goals -- opening the Austrian Room at the University of Pittsburgh. On April 4 the society held its annual Austrian Ball, a celebration and fundraiser with proceeds going to support its other projects, which include scholarships to Austria and cultural programs. The elegant event was held at the Pittsburgh Golf Club and was attended by the consul general of Austria, Brigitta Blaha, who came in from New York for the evening.
