Stanley Jordan, David Sanborn and Ramsey Lewis are part of the diverse lineup of world-class musicians on tap for Manchester Craftsmen's Guild's 23rd season, "A Jazz Collaboration," which runs October through May.
MCG Jazz will partner with local and national arts institutions, including the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra in Washington and the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.
"We are deeply committed to presenting jazz music at its very highest level, and the collaborations next season with so many world-class organizations will provide the region with musical experiences that are simply not possible without joining forces," MCG Executive Producer Marty Ashby said.
The season includes 13 subscription concerts and a special closing event featuring Ramsey Lewis on May 13, 2010. Season-ticket packages range from $160 for four concerts to $450 for all 13. Tickets to the Ramsey Lewis special event are $100 and right now are available only to subscribers. Single tickets to the other concerts go on sale in August.
