A woman was injured yesterday afternoon when a customer drove through the closed service door of a McCandless car dealership and struck her as she sat at her desk.
Gary Anderson, police chief in McCandless, said the female employee was taken to Allegheny General Hospital but appeared to be OK.
He said a customer was entering the service area at Baierl Subaru on Perry Highway when he drove through the door, hit some items and struck the service desk where the woman was working. She was briefly pinned against the wall by the car, the chief said, but did not appear to be badly hurt.
Chief Anderson said his officers were still at the scene yesterday afternoon. He didn't yet know why the driver drove through the door.
