Oakdale to sell land to townhouse developer
Thursday, April 02, 2009

Oakdale council voted 5-0 last night to sell 2 acres to a townhouse developer for $90,000.

Washington County developer Sam Henderson of DKH Properties plans to build several townhouse buildings, containing 25 units, on the lot at the corner of Clef Drive and Clinton Avenue, council President Ron Gamble said.

Council members were pleased with the planned land use. "That's the first positive growth we've had," Vice President Russ Campbell said.

The borough had been trying to sell the land for years. Council planned to use the income to help pay for a comprehensive road paving program this year.
