WQED president taking 30% pay cut

WQED Multimedia President and CEO George Miles Jr. is getting a 30 percent pay cut and other measures, including hiring freezes and elimination of discretionary staff travel and training, will be taken to trim company expenses because of the economic downturn.

Also at the company's quarterly board meeting today, Mr. Miles addressed the brewing controversy over his salary and remuneration from the corporate boards he sits on.
