Q: I watched a replay of Pitt's game with Oklahoma State. The Panthers' defense was suspect. Sam Young will have a hard time finding good shots, and Xavier has plenty of big bodies to counter Blair. Where do you think Pitt's scoring will come from?
FITTIPALDO: The nice thing about the Panthers is that they can figure out which player to go to as the game wears on. When Sam Young was hot against Oklahoma State, coach Jamie Dixon kept getting the ball to Young. If Blair is hot against Xavier, the guards will keep feeding Blair. Dixon has an array of offensive weapons he can use. And with all due respect to Xavier's big bodies, Blair scored at will on Hasheem Thabeet earlier in the season. Xavier can do what Oklahoma State did and double-team Blair, but that would leave Young and the outside shooters open for 3-pointers. As many opposing coaches have stated this season: "You have to pick your poison against Pitt."
