Eleven people were forced from their homes when fire erupted at an apartment building in Scott today.

Firefighters were still at the scene of the fire, in the 400 block of Noblestown Road, and were unavailable for comment this afternoon.

The Red Cross said it was helping to provide eight adults and three children with food and/or shelter and clothing.

There were no reports of injuries.
