Q: The teams that play Pitt in the tournament will definitely try to get Blair in foul trouble early. And since the teams in the bracket do not have a dominant big man, they may spread the court and take Blair out from underneath the basket. Do you think Jamie Dixon will play a little bit of zone early to protect Blair? I know they played some zone at times earlier in the season.

Garrett Dodson, Fannettsburg, Pa.

FITTIPALDO: I know there has been specualtion from national analysts about Dixon playing some zone to protect Blair, but Dixon has only used zone on a few occasions this season. And he did it when the Panthers' man-to-man wasn't working particularly well. I'm not ruling it out because this is a one-and done scenario now, but Dixon traditionally has not been the type of coach who goes away from what he likes to do.
