Police are looking for a man who posed as a police officer and pulled over a woman in Bedford County last Tuesday.
Sheena N. Endress was driving east on Route 56, just past the Somerset County line, around 9:30 p.m. when the car following her activated red and yellow emergency lights. She pulled over her vehicle and the suspect approached her. He identified himself as a state trooper, said her tail light wasn't working and took her driver's information back to his car, described as a silver Dodge Neon with a dark pin stripe on the side.
The suspect returned, gave Ms. Endress her cards and asked her to exit her car. She refused and drove away. The suspect followed Ms. Endress, 20, of Alum Bank, for three miles to the area of her residence, turned around and left.
The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall with dark hair and a crew cut. He wore black pants with a yellow stripe and a black long sleeve button-up shirt with a badge pinned to it. The words "state trooper" were sewn onto the shoulder area of the shirt. He also wore a diamond earring in his right ear.
He may have been driving a two-door silver Mazda or Chrysler convertible.
