Shane Young
Penn-Trafford
The past week: Won a WPIAL Class AAA individual wrestling title for the third year in a row. This one was in the 119-pound class. The others were at 103 and 112.
Check this out: Young, a senior, also has won two PIAA titles in a row and is going for his third consecutive beginning today in Hershey. Young has only one loss this year and has won 128 of his past 129 matches.
 Did this WPIAL title mean anything different than the others? A little bit. They're all pretty big, but this is the third in a row and not too many people have done that.
Does winning a PIAA title carry a totally different feeling? Yeah. It's your biggest goal at the beginning of the year. The atmosphere is different, too, just with all the people there [at the Giant Center in Hershey].
Do you have any routines you go through at the PIAA tournament? We always go to the Bass Pro Shops in Hershey.
Are you a big fisherman? Yeah. I fish a lot -- pretty much for bass and trout.
If you won a million dollars, what would you buy first? Probably a truck and a bass fishing boat.
Wrestlers are ... Tough.
Movie you can watch any time? Rocky.
 People might be surprised to know that ... I get pretty nervous before every match, no matter who it is against.

The past week: A senior swimmer, she won three gold medals and one bronze in the WPIAL Class AAA meet at Pitt's Trees Pool. Walker broke the WPIAL Class AAA record in the 50-yard freestyle (23.32 seconds), won the title in the 100 freestyle (51.44) and was the anchor on the first-place 400 freestyle relay team, which finished in a time of 3:32.58.
Check this out: A Pitt recruit, Walker said she also considered New Mexico, Kentucky, North Carolina State, Florida Atlantic, Brown, Arizona State, Pepperdine and San Diego State. She said she will probably swim the 50 and 100 freestyle at Pitt and eventually the 200 freestyle.
Why have your times been so good this year? I think it is because I have moved to Team Pittsburgh (a swimming club). To get to swim in high school with great college coaches who know so much is a real advantage and was a nice change that helped me because when I go there, everyone is more focused and more serious about working hard.
The worst part about swimming is ... Morning practices. Having to be in the pool at 5 a.m. is sometimes pretty tough. That means that I have to get up at about 4:10 to get there on time. But I think the very worst part is getting out of the warm car, going out into the cold and then getting into the cold pool.
Michael Phelps. Your thoughts about him? He is a very, very talented athlete who made a mistake. I think that by making a mistake, he just showed everyone he was a human being. And maybe too many people forgot about that, that he's just a person like everyone else.
Do swimmers think divers are a little crazy? No, I don't think so. I think maybe even a lot of divers think that swimmers are crazy because of how hard we train. From my experience, and how hard we have to train, I would think that swimmers are definitely the ones who are a little more crazy.
You win a plane ticket to anywhere in the world.Where do you go and why? I would go to Santorini in Greece. My cousin and I have fallen in love with the island because it is so beautiful. All the houses have their roofs and door frames painted blue and, in Greece, most of the buildings are white, so it just makes for a really beautiful looking place. Also, blue is my favorite color, so that is why I like it, too.
