The Pitt men's basketball team fell to No. 3 in the Associated Press and No. 4 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' polls that were released this afternoon.
The Panthers, who were No. 1 for the second time in school history last week, dropped in the rankings because of their loss at Providence last week. The new No. 1 team in both polls is Connecticut followed by North Carolina. Memphis is third in the coaches' poll.
Pitt (26-3, 13-3) takes on No. 13 Marquette (23-6, 12-4) Wednesday night at the Petersen Events Center.
