The 11-year-old Lawrence County boy accused of killing his father's pregnant fiancee was transferred to a juvenile detention facility in Erie County today, his third move in the past week.
Around 9 a.m., Lawrence County sheriff's deputies moved Jordan Brown from Allencrest Detention Center in Beaver County to the Edmund L. Thomas Adolescent Detention Center in Erie.
The boy has been charged with two counts of homicide in the Feb. 20 shooting death of Kenzie Marie Houk at a farmhouse in New Beaver.
Because of the severity of the crime, Jordan was charged as an adult and detained at the Lawrence County Jail. Authorities then decided to put him in a facility better suited for children. He was taken to Allencrest Wednesday, but the cost of housing him there would have been $4,500 per week because of the need for 24-hour security.
Today, Lawrence County President Judge Dominick Motto ordered that Jordan be transferred to Erie.
