The Pitt men's basketball team is ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press poll and ESPN/USA Today's coaches poll. Both were released this afternoon.

Pitt was ranked No.4 last week. The Panthers beat then-No.1 Connecticut last Monday and unranked DePaul on Saturday.

North Carolina and Oklahoma, the other teams that had been ranked ahead of Pitt, lost games over the weekend.
