Pittsburgh Film Office's annual Oscar bash
Saturday, January 31, 2009

If you do, Jan. 23 was your big chance during the Patron Party for the Pittsburgh Film Office's annual Oscar bash. The kickoff at J. Verno Studios offered guests a shot at stardom by reciting famous movie lines for the camera. The results will be unveiled during "Lights! Glamour! Action!" on Feb. 22 at Heinz Field. A host of local eateries donated great food, especially the Capital Grille's lobster mac and cheese, Tusca's chocolate desserts and Eli's cheesecakes. Hoping to help the film office raise its annual budget so it can continue to bring movies to Pittsburgh (generating $348 million for the local economy since 1990) were its director, Dawn Keezer, board chair Russ Streiner, Melissa Hart, Sally Wiggin, "Harris," Henry Simonds, Donna Belajac and more.
