The Pirates this morning agreed to terms with first baseman Adam LaRoche, starter Zach Duke and relievers John Grabow and Tyler Yates on one-year contracts to avoid salary arbitration.
LaRoche will become the team's second highest paid player with a salary of $7.05 million, plus $100,000 in performance bonuses based on plate appearances.
That leaves outfielder Nate McLouth and starter Paul Maholm as the only players to have exchanged salary figures at Major League Baseball's deadline of noon today.
