Patrick Reilly of Brookline and Natalia Rudiak of Carrick have announced their intentions to run for the Pittsburgh City Council seat now held by Jim Motznik.
Mr. Reilly, 26, is the community outreach coordinator for state Rep. Chelsa Wagner.
Ms. Rudiak, 29, runs a small business helping nonprofit and community groups. Both are Democrats.
Mr. Motznik's council term ends this year. He said he will make an announcement about his political future tomorrow at 2 p.m. at 1000 Grandview Avenue, Mount Washington.
He is viewed as a potential candidate for district judge.
The primary is May 19.
