Snow turns secondary roads slick, causes a few school delays
Monday, January 12, 2009

Light snow that fell across Western Pennsylvania overnight is causing some slick roadways and school delays this morning.

While main highway mostly are clear, secondary roads and bridge ramps were snow covered in the hours before sunrise. Weather radar showed an area of snow falling before dawn in Westmoreland, Washington, Greene, Fayette, Cambria, Somerset and southern Allegheny counties.

Some school districts, mostly to the south and east of Pittsburgh, are operating under a 2-hour delay. See information about school closings and delays on KDKA.com, the Post-Gazette's news partner.
