Dukes beat Charlotte, 76-71, in A-10 opener

Senior Aaron Jackson scored 30 points to lead Duquesne to a 76-71 win over Charlotte at the Palumbo Center tonight in the Dukes Atlantic 10 opener.

Jackson, who became the 32nd player in Duquesne history to reach the 1,000-point mark, hit a late lay-up to break a 69-69 tie and spark a 7-2 run in the final minute of the game.

It was the fifth win in a row for the Dukes (10-4, 1-0 in the Atlantic 10).
