A Butler County man, suspected in three bank robberies, is in custody in Ohio where authorities arrested him.
Robbery charges already have been filed against Walter Cody Tribble, 34, of Slippery Rock, in connection with a robbery in Center, Butler County.
State police said he also will be charged with the robbery yesterday of a Nextier Bank branch in Slippery Rock.
Investigators said the robber entered the bank around 11:20 a.m. yesterday, showed a teller that he was armed with a pistol, and demanded money.
The amount taken has not been disclosed.
Eleven hours later, Liberty Township police in Trumbull County, Ohio, along with Pennsylvania state police, apprehended the suspect.
Charges already have been filed against Mr. Tribble for the robbery last week of a Citizens Bank branch in Center, Butler County, police said.
And today, Butler city police said he would be charged with the Dec. 22 robbery of the National City branch on Center Avenue.
Mr. Tribble is to be extradited to Butler County for arraignment on the charges.
