Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato and Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl will host a pep rally Friday for the Steelers, who play their first playoff game Sunday.
The rally will be around the "Terrible Tree," which is decorated with black and gold items and is in the courtyard of the Allegheny County Courthouse on Grant Street, Downtown.
The rally starts at noon. It will include music and a limited number of hot dogs.
Fans can take Steelers items to add to the tree. They are also encouraged to bring a can of food for a food bank.
The officials also suggested everyone, whether or not they attend the rally, to wear black and gold Friday.
The Steelers begin their playoff run Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field against San Diego.
