USC beats Penn State, 38-24, in Rose Bowl

PASADENA, Calif. -- Southern California quarterback Mark Sanchez single-handedly beat Penn State last night.

He passed for more than 400 yards and four touchdowns as No. 5 USC throttled No. 6 Penn State, 38-24, in the 95th Rose Bowl.

Sanchez also ran for a score as the Trojans (12-1) won their 10th consecutive game.

Penn State, which trailed 31-7 at halftime, made the final score a little more respectable with 17 fourth-quarter points.

Quarterback Daryll Clark passed for two touchdowns and ran for another for Penn State (11-2). Kevin Kelly added a 25-yard field goal.
