El PASO -- Pitt lost to Oregon State 3-0 in the 75th edition of the Sun Bowl this afternoon.
The only score of the game came courtesy of a 44-yard field goal by Oregon State's Justin Kahut with 2:18 to play in the second quarter. Pitt had a chance to tie the game with a little more than two minutes to play but Conor Lee's 58-yard field goal attempt was wide right.
The Panthers finished their season 9-4.
