State and local officials will dedicate three new townhouses and two rehabilitations in historic Deutschtown today at 1 p.m. at James and Tripoli streets.

The new construction -- the work of October Development, managed by the Northside Leadership Conference -- replace a blighted and empty lot. The rehabilitations have returned homes on Suismon and Tripoli streets to home ownership.

The event is open to the public.
