Wednesday, December 17, 2008

A large cocaine ring in Aliquippa was broken up yesterday morning with the indictment of 13 men in federal court.

Several of the defendants have already been arrested.

The alleged leader of the organization, Anthony A. Dorsett, who is the nephew of famed football player Tony Dorsett, was arrested over the weekend in West Virginia on state charges out of Beaver County.

Seven of the men made their initial appearances on the 35-count indictment before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert C. Mitchell this morning.

According to the indictment, the conspiracy has been ongoing since 2003.
