If you go to the railroad displays ...

The Yobp-Eckstein village and railroad is on display in the Wagner-Bentel House, which is next door to the Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony.

Daily hours are 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Tours of the museum and the train display cost $5 for those 13 and older, $4 for senior citizens and $2 for children 6-12. Children younger than 6 are free.

Visitors also have the option of just viewing the train display for $1 per person.

Other train displays in the region include the Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum's Holiday Train Show in Richland. Its HO-scale trains will be running through Jan. 18.

The museum is at the intersection of Route 910 and Hardt Road. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 26-27. The Miniature Railroad & Village at the Carnegie Science Center on the North Side seeks to replicate the Pittsburgh area as it would have looked in the 1920s.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission, which includes access to the rest of the Science Center, is $14 for adults and $10 for children and seniors. More information is at www.carnegiesciencecenter.org or 412-237-3400.
