The Steelers have released running back Najeh Davenport, again.
Davenport was released today to make room on the active roster for defensive tackle Scott Paxson, a first-year player from Penn State. Paxson, who has been on the Steelers practice squad, played in the Oct. 5 game at Jacksonville. Paxson (6-4, 292) signed with the Steelers in 2006 as an undrafted rookie.
Davenport has played in four games this season but was inactive for the game against New England yesterday.
Also, rookie cornerback Roy Lewis was re-signed to the Steelers practice squad.
