Blair expected to play tomorrow

Pitt sophomore center DeJuan Blair practiced with the team yesterday and is expected to play tomorrow night against Texas Tech.

Blair sat out a 74-60 victory against Belmont University Tuesday night because of some swelling in his right knee. Blair had an X-ray yesterday that concurred with a previous MRI that there was no damage to the knee.

Blair had reconstructive surgery on both of his knees in high school, but this was the first time in three years that he experienced any problems with either knee.

"It was completely unexpected," Pitt coach Jamie Dixon said. "We're at a loss to explain it. It wasn't significant. We were cautious with it."
