LECTURES/SEMINARS

Unity -- The Small Business Development Center of S aint Vincent College, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, will sponsor a seminar, "The First Step to Small Business Success," from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4. MEETINGS

Monroeville -- International Women will meet at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, 2310 Haymaker Road. Th at month's program will be Christmas Bells are Ringing, presented by hand-bell ringers Robert and Roberta Erickson. Baby-sitting is available, but reservations are required by next Wednesday. North Huntingdon -- A PowerLunch EAST, for women business owners, will take place at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at Teddy's Restaurant, 8695 Lincoln Highway. Irwin -- The Norwin Chamber of Commerce, 321 Main St., will have its monthly Women in Business Initiative from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in its conference room. The topic will be "How to Do a Yearly Budget for Your Business" and the speakers will be Krista and Kristina Rugh of Householder Lifestyle Consulting. OPEN HOUSE

McKeesport -- The McKeesport Model Railroad Club, 2209 Walnut St., will hold a "pre-demolition" holiday train show and open house from 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays, 1 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays from Friday through Dec. 21. Donation is $4, $1 for children. The current display will be torn down and reconfigured after the holidays. Call 412-664-5626.

RECREATION

Monroeville -- The recreation and parks department will sponsor a light display contest Dec. 14. Entrants need to have their holiday lights turned on from 6 to 9 p.m. Winners will be chosen from each of the municipality's seven wards, with the grand prize winner from th at group. RELIGIOUS

Monroeville -- Monroeville Aglow Community Lighthouse will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 4 at the Golden Corral, 3951 William Penn Highway. The featured speaker will be the Rev. THEATER

Squirrel Hill -- Jewish Play on Murray, a theater group from Russia, will perform the comedy "Supper with a Fool" at 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, 5738 Darlington Road. WORKSHOPS
