Saturday, November 22, 2008

Pitt defeated IUP, 86-60, this afternoon at the Petersen Events Center.

Sophomore center DeJuan Blair had the game of his young career, scoring 27 points and pulling down 18 rebounds in a dominating performance against the Division II Crimson Hawks.

It was the third double-double in the first four games for Blair, the 6-foot-7, 265-pound manchild. It was so easy for Blair that he had the double-double with 3:56 remaining before halftime. He had 20 points and 16 points at the intermission.

Tyrell Biggs and Ashton Gibbs each added 10 points for the Panthers, who play again Tuesday night against Belmont University at the Petersen Events Center.

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
