There are lots of reasons to dislike winter -- icy roads, bone-chilling winds and, of course, the snow. But what I really hate is that winter means the closing of our farmers markets. How I'll miss my weekly conversations with the farmers and the community leaders who work so hard to bring fresh produce to their friends and neighbors. There are, however, a few days remaining for the 2008 season, so bundle up and take advantage of your last chance to shop this way for a while.
