Miele brothers, Mars
They get their kicks in different sports. Austin Miele, a sophomore, is the leading rusher (825 yards on 107 carries) on Mars' football team that is in the WPIAL quarterfinals. Zack, a senior, is a starter on Mars' WPIAL Class AA championship soccer team.

Peters Township boys' soccer team

These Indians have proven it is not how you start that matters, but how you finish. Peters Township started the season 2-4, but has won 16 of its past 17 games, including the WPIAL Class AAA championship Saturday and a first-round PIAA game Tuesday.

Tom Fulton, Penn Hills

There is no tomfoolery with this senior quarterback. He went over 4,000 career yards passing in a playoff win last week. A three-year starter, he is 294 of 642 for 4,145 yards and 38 touchdowns.

Michelle Walker, West Allegheny

She's a Duquesne University basketball recruit, but she digs volleyball, too. A 6-foot-1 senior, she had 15 kills in West Allegheny's WPIAL Class AA championship win Saturday against Hopewell.

Long brothers, North Catholic

When the Trojans need a play, they usually go Long. Martin is a sophomore QB who has thrown for over 1,000 yards the past two seasons. Matt is a junior receiver who leads the team in receptions. They have helped North Catholic to the WPIAL quarterfinals.
