The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful
Courteney in 'Cougar Town,' Jackson Five reunite, Sienna Miller suing
Friday, October 31, 2008

Courteney Cox will be getting her cougar on in a new ABC sitcom called "Cougar Town."

Ms. Courteney will play a 40-year-old mom who's newly single and probably finds love or at least a fling with a younger man.

She and "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence developed the concept, reports Variety.

Like David Letterman says: Wake the kids and call the neighbors, the Jackson Five will be together again in concert. At least that's what brother Jermaine told the Australian Associated Press.

He said he, Michael, Marlon, Tito and Jackie will hit the road next year.

And get this -- little sister Janet, who's been having problems with her current tour, is expected to join them. (Read more about it in Scott Mervis' Pop Noise blog at post-gazette.com/music.)

We started to lose consciousness at the mere mention of the possibility that Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears could invade our TV screens at the same self-centered time on a weekly basis.

But that was only a rumor, reports Courtney Hazlett of MSNBC.com.

Word was HBO was planning a sitcom with the three tarnished pop princesses playing themselves, kind of. But Lindsay's rep said there's no truth to it.

Sienna Miller is mad as you know what, and she's not taking it anymore.

Girlfriend is taking a British photo agency to court because she says its photogs have been making her life a living nightmare. The 26-year-old actress is suing Big Pictures Limited for harassment and invasion of privacy.

Miss Sienna is not playing.

According to her lawyer she was chased while driving and suffered from physical and verbal abuse and intimidation.

Seems like the paparazzi have gone into overdrive after reports that she was seeing the very married Balthazar Getty.

The two were famously photoed a while back having such a good time on a boat that Sienna forgot her top. We hate when that happens!

Oooh, you know we'd love to be in the house for this one!

Patti LaBelle, Sarah Dash and Nona Hendryx, who were known as LaBelle in the 1970s, are getting back together for one night only!

The three divas will tear the roof off the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem on Dec. 19. Tickets start at $75 and go up to $200.

Unfortunately, we'll just have to settle for their new CD, "Back to Now."

One place we will be able to get to is the Champion Enterprises Black and White Social Affair Saturday at Loews AMC Theatre at the Waterfront.

The cocktail reception starts at 7 p.m. with an awards presentation honoring Pittsburgh women at 8 p.m.

So come on out and support our man Bill Neal and his worthwhile organization. More info: 412-607-3697.

Josiah Lemming, a contestant on "American Idol," is trying to release a new CD in time for his ailing mom to see it happen, reports Page Six.

But the show makes all contestants sign a contract with producer Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment that prohibits them from making music with anyone other than Sony/BMG. But Josiah, who didn't make the show's top 24, has recorded his album with Warner Records.

His mom has terminal cancer, and, of course, he wants to put out his record while she is still around. This child was homeless at one point, and now his mother is gravely ill. Somebody should give him a break.

We're gonna pray on it!
