We're all sending our prayers to Jennifer Hudson and her family following the horrible news about the shooting death of her mother and brother and the death of her 7-year-old nephew.
Chicago police confirmed that they found the body of little Julian King yesterday morning. Friends and associates of the Oscar-winning actress/singer are weighing in on the tragedy.
"My heart and soul goes out to her and the rest of her family," "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson told People. "Such a huge tragedy -- I can't even believe that it's possible. Paula Abdul and I were just talking about it yesterday, and it's just so sad."
"It's just a huge shock," said former "AI" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe in an interview with Fox News' Pop Tarts. I think the whole country was shocked. It was one of those things that if you lose your mother, that's terribly sad, but to lose your mother in that way, where she's murdered, is just horrific. I can't imagine what Jennifer must be feeling right now."
Diana DeGarmo, who finished second on Season 3 of "Idol," told "Access Hollywood," "I was completely shocked and stunned when I heard about this tragedy. I know how important Jennifer's mother and brother were to her, especially because her father was never in the picture [he passed away many years ago]. They were so nice and so pleasant."
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama sent his support, also. "Michelle and I were absolutely heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy, and we want Jennifer to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time," the Illinois senator told People.
It's not been a great time lately for Terrence Howard. On top of losing his "Iron Man" role to Don Cheadle, brother man is being sued by Debbie Allen's brother for $5 million.
Andrew "Tex" Allen alleges that our man Terrence beat him down while the two were working together on the Broadway production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." Debbie was the director on that one, and sis Phylicia Rashad co-starred as Big Momma.
In his lawsuit, Mr. Allen claims that Mr. Howard just walked up to him and repeatedly punched him in the head and face. But he didn't say why.
We don't know what's going on, but you would think if this happened last spring, Tex would have said something before now. I can't imagine Debbie wouldn't have had a few choice things to say if somebody beat up her little bro.
We'll just have to wait to see how it all turns out 'cause you know the truth always comes out eventually.
Is anybody surprised that Amy "Somebody Help This Child" Winehouse was back in the hospital?
Girlfriend checked in this past weekend for what doctors think could be a reoccurrence of a chest infection she had last June.
There were reports at that time that Ms. Winehouse, who allegedly smokes some stuff that's not very good for you, had emphysema.
Our girl Christina Aguilera has debuted a video for her upcoming greatest hits CD, "It Just Gets Better -- A Decade of Hits," on a new social music Web site called iLike.
Has it been 10 years already, girl?
In the video for "Keeps Gettin' Better," directed by Peter Berg, Aguilera travels through time and fashion in an homage to her decade-long career.
"I really enjoyed making the video for 'Keeps Gettin' Better,' " said Aguilera. "Being an artist who likes to play around with different looks, it was a lot of fun to portray various characters within the same shoot."
The album will be sold exclusively at Target and Target.com beginning Nov. 11.
Gerard Butler takes Men's Vogue to some of the pretty dark places in his life that thankfully the actor has made his way out of.
"That period from 23 to 26? I cannot believe I'm still here. I have about 200 stories from that period, any one of which could just as easily have ended with me in the morgue. ... I was in a pretty dangerous place."
Now the 38-year-old hunk doesn't drink or smoke. When asked if he's the marrying type, he responds: "I would like to be one day. I'm historically not someone who's been amazing in relationships. ... It's not an area I'm very mature in."
Anyway, boyfriend sure can hang a suit, and they put him in some pretty great ones. It is Vogue after all. Check out the November issue.
