Monday, October 20, 2008

Pittsburgh homicide detectives are investigating a bar shooting that left a man dead and another injured shortly after 9 last night.

Clayton Thompson, 31, of Brentwood was pronounced dead at the scene in Longo's Bank Cafe in the 800 block of Warrington Avenue.

A second victim -- a 27-year-old who has not been identified -- ran from the bar and was found in the 800 block of Industry Street. He had been shot in the chest and was taken to UPMC Mercy, where is was listed in stable condition. Another man suffered a dislocated shoulder after he jumped over the bar when the shooting started. The 27-year-old was taken to UPMC Southside and was in good condition.

Homicide detectives said that one of the victims had an argument in the bar with a man who then left. The man returned with another man, who was wearing a bandana on his face. They began shooting, and then ran from the scene.

While police were searching for suspects, they saw Thomas Noble, 26, running in the area of the bar. They stopped him and found that there was an arrest warrant for him. He was arrested and lodged in the Allegheny County Jail. No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide.

Detectives ask that anyone with information on the case call 412-323-7161.
