It's election year in cyberspace, too. Here are a few places to spend some time and escape the ubiquitous political bloggers:

Anyone interested in what young voters are thinking can find out in the YouTube-style collection of user videos "I'm Voting For." The online video testimonial campaign from Campus Progress Action is designed to give young voters a voice and an outlet.

Participants can upload short videos of themselves talking about the economy and the environment, health care, education and the issues that are most important to them.

The buck doesn't stop there. Campus Progress Action is taking the best ones and forwarding them to the presidential candidates and other candidates for office.

Voters who want to wear their political persuasions on their sleeves, or at least on a T-shirt, have an online shopping destination at Campaign.com, a non-partisan site that is selling apparel, hats, buttons, posters and more. All candidates, along with popular slogans, are represented.

Among the top sellers: "Yes We Can." "Let's Raise McCain," "Palin Power," "JObama," "Vote Vader" and "I Need More Cowbell."

The merchandising is part of Campaign.com, a voter education site that offers political news headlines, videos, information on candidates and online voter registration forms.

The forces behind Comedy Central's political satire/animated series "Lil' Bush" are taking aim at his possible successor. A new animated Web series,"The Adventures of John McCain and the Straight Talk Express," made its debut this week.

The brainchild of "Lil' Bush" creator Donick Cary, the series focuses on McCain and his imaginary talking bus "Straight Talk." New episodes will post weekly until the election.

The series can been seen on several Web video sites, inlcuding Hulu, YouTube, Break, Dailymotion and MySpaceTv.

Taking a step away from the campaign trail ...

CBS Radio has launched a new widget for some of its music station Web sites. Contemporary hits station WBZW-FM (93.7) here is among the first of the CBS stations across the country to add the new feature.

The "Now Playing Widget" is designed to give listeners a wide range of information: title, artist and album being played, and a playlist of the previous 10 tracks. Listeners will also find links to purchase music they like through Amazon or iTunes. And they can submit song dedications through the widget.

The widget will be rolled out gradually to all CBS Radio music stations in the coming weeks.
