Contracts

Pittsburgh Glass Works acquired a license from Research Frontiers Inc., the developer and licenser of SPD-Smart light-control film technology. The worldwide nonexclusive license grants PGW the right to manufacture and sell SPD-SmartGlass automotive glass products utilizing Research Frontiers' patented light-control technology, including smart sunroofs, roof glass systems and windows. PGW was formerly the automotive glass business of PPG Industries.

Dividends

Equitable Resources Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of 22 cents per share, payable Dec. 1 to shareholders of record Nov. 7.

Awards/Honors

Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart said that 91 of its attorneys were named in the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, to be published in December. From the Pittsburgh office, Maria Greco Danaher was renamed to the list in the areas of commercial litigation and labor and employment law, and Peter D. Post was renamed to the list under labor and employment law.

Kenneth J. Horoho, partner, Goldberg Gruener Gentile Horoho & Avalli, was named to the "Irish Legal 100," honoring the leading attorneys of Irish heritage in America.

Susan M. Harry, senior tax associate, Grossman Yanak & Ford LLP, was named a Member to Watch on the 40 Under 40 list compiled by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Moji Christianah Adeyeye was recently recognized with a Duquesne University Presidential Award for Excellence in Service. A professor of pharmaceutics in the Mylan School of Pharmacy, Ms. Adeyeye was presented with her award at the university's annual convocation.

Dennis Lejeck, co-founder/CEO, Black Knight Security, was named a 2008 Pacesetter by Smart Business Pittsburgh magazine. Pacesetter Awards are given each year to outstanding business and community leaders who have had a significant impact on the region. Lejeck was awarded the top honor in the "Emerging Company" category of the competition for his efforts in growing Black Knight Security.

John E. Hall of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, was admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Hall is a member of the firm's board of directors, and chairs its product liability department.
