Penguins' Sykora to play tonight
Tuesday, October 14, 2008

The Penguins, who have struggled on offense, could get a lift tonight when right winger Petr Sykora returns.

Coach Michel Therrien said Sykora is expected to make his season debut against the Philadelphia Flyers at Mellon Arena. He has missed the team's first three games because of a respiratory illness followed by a groin injury.

At the morning skate, Sykora took up his familiar spot alongside center Evgeni Malkin, with Jordan Staal on the left side. Therrien said Sykora could expect some power-play time tonight.

Sykora's return bumped Tyler Kennedy to the third line with Max Talbot and Matt Cooke.
