New Brighton crash injures two drivers

The drivers of two cars were seriously injured when their vehicles collided head-on on Route 60 in New Brighton around 3:30 p.m.

Molly S. Eakles, 18, was traveling north on Route 60 when she lost control of the Ford Crown Victoria she was driving, skidded across the grass median and hit Karen Diffenbacher, 49, who was headed south in a 2001 Jeep Cherokee.

Both Ms. Eakles, of Beaver Falls, and Ms. Diffenbacher, of Enon Valley, were life-flighted to UPMC Presbyterian.
