Q: Did Bill Stull get a medical redshirt for the 2007 season as he was hurt in the first game and never played another down?
Bill Kalb, Greer, S.C.
ZEISE: Yes, he is a redshirt junior and will have one more season after this one. That should make Pitt fans very excited for the future because if you think about it -- Pitt has a whole lot of experienced players coming back next year and if you add to that an experienced quarterback, it means the Panthers should be able to do some big things on offense.
Q: Paul, is there a reason we did not see a lot of Baldwin in the second half of the South Florida game after he dominated the first half?
Jeremy McIntyre, Washington
ZEISE: I thought he played plenty in both halves and I also think that he drew some very big pass interference penalties - because South Florida figured out how dangerous he is. They did start to give their corner some help with a safety over the top on Baldwin's side but there is another reason we didn't see as much from the passing game in general -- LeSean McCoy and that offensive line had taken over the game by that point.
Q: Did you see the Miami Dolphins running the Wildcat offense with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in the backfield. I think this could be real effective for Pitt with LeSean McCoy and LaRod Howling-Stevens alone in the backfield. When are we going to see it?
Pat Perri, Bakersfield, Calif.
ZEISE: I think if they are going to run the Wildcat a better option would be with Greg Cross taking the snap and Stephens-Howling coming in motion and LeSean McCoy in the backfield with Cross. That would be interesting because they would be able to throw and run the ball out of that formation and keep teams guessing. My sense is that the more teams run that Wildcat package with just running backs, the more teams will learn how to defend it. So the element of Cross's passing is what will make defenses stay honest and not just sell out to stop the running plays out of it. As for when we will see it? I'd say don't hold your breath especially since they did run two Wildcat plays against South Florida and both were a disaster.
