Police question suspect in molestations in Brentwood
Friday, October 10, 2008

A pizza delivery man has been questioned by police about two incidents in Brentwood where women were molested on the street this week.

The suspect was questioned today about the assaults, which were reported Tuesday afternoon, police Chief Robert Butelli said.

One woman told police and a man startled her from behind at about 1:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Brownsville Road in front of the construction site of the borough's new medical building.

The woman said the man touched her buttocks and fled.

Another woman said a similar incident occurred at about 5:50 p.m. in the 3800 block of Brownsville Road.

Chief Butelli said a witness came forward yesterday with descriptive information about the suspect's appearance, clothing and vehicle.

The suspect has been released, pending a police consultation with the Allegheny County district attorney's office to determine whether he should be charged with something other than indecent assault and simple assault.
