The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful
Johansson and Reynolds wed, Ryan and Quaid jab and does Omarosa have a new gig?
Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Congrats to Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds, who tied the knot this past weekend at a small retreat outside Vancouver, British Columbia, reports People.

Glad they were able to have their special day without the paparazzi descending like a plague of locusts.

Anyway, all the best to the happy couple.

We truly hope they don't end up like Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, sniping middle-aged folks who used to be married to each other.

Dennis, who is now remarried with infant twins, jabbed back at Meg, who let it be known in a recent In Style magazine interview that her former husband cheated on her when they were married.

"Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful," she told the mag.

Of course, Meg had a very public affair of her own with Russell Crowe while they were making a film together.

She took a lot of heat for that. The film tanked and her career took a hit.

But Dennis says she needs to let all that go.

"It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship," he told NY Daily News. "Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce."

Does our good friend Omarosa have her next reality show project?

You know we don't know but Mediatakeout.com is reporting that Miss O has just signed to do a dating reality show a la "I Love New York."

However, Omarosa's show will be much classier, insiders say.

Well, Tiffany "New York" Pollard set the bar so low when it comes to class a snail could get over it.

Anyway, we shall see if this comes to pass. They've already spun off about 50 shows from the original "Flavor of Love" so what's one more assault on humanity.

"Ugly, black and unbankable."

That's how one Australian film company executive described Oscar-winning actor Forest Whitaker, according to director Rowan Woods.

Rowan, who was talking to the Australian Directors Guild conference in Sydney, said he had to fight tooth and nail to keep Forest as the lead in his latest flick, "Winged Creatures," reports Australia's Livenews.com

The company, which he wouldn't name, owned the script and didn't want Forest in it no way, no how.

Eventually they gave up the script and Ron made it with a great ensemble cast including Guy Pearce, Kate Beckinsale, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Jennifer Hudson and Dakota Fanning, who he said was a real piece of work.

[She] was the only one who was naughty," he said of little Dakota. "She is a gorgeous girl. . . but she was the disaster."

We wish we knew what film company this was so we could give them a piece of our mind.

Forest, we definitely have your back!

Like everyone else we LOVED Paul Newman as an actor, a philanthropist and humanitarian.

We know everyone has to go sometime but this was truly a blow.

Our prayers go out to his wife of so many years, Joanne Woodward, his daughters, and the rest of his family and friends.

We're also sending our condolences out to Terrence Howard and his family on the loss of his mom, who lived in Monroeville. She died on Thursday of colon cancer.
