Gerry Dulac's NFL Forecast: Week 4
Friday, September 26, 2008

Baltimore Ravens (2-0) at Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1)

8:30 p.m. tomorrow, Heinz Field -- The Steelers have won six of the past seven meetings at Heinz Field and an NFL-best 13 consecutive home games on MNF. Let's hold off on the Ravens-are-contenders stuff.

Prediction: Steelers, 27-9

Cleveland Browns (0-3) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-3)

1 p.m., Paul Brown Stadium -- How's that division-favorite tag looking so far? The Browns have scored just 26 points in three games, need a QB change and haven't won at PBS since 2003.

Prediction: Bengals, 24-21

Atlanta Falcons (2-1) at Carolina Panthers (2-1)

1 p.m., Bank of America Stadium -- It must say something about this series that the road team has won the past five. The Falcons have run up a lot of points at home. Let's see them do it on the road.

Prediction: Panthers, 23-20

Houston Texans (0-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2)

1 p.m., Alltel Stadium -- This will be the third consecutive road game for the Texans and, probably, their third consecutive loss. The Jaguars got some life -- and their first victory -- when they beat the Colts.

Prediction: Jaguars, 24-16

Denver Broncos (3-0) at Kansas City Chiefs (0-3)

1 p.m., Arrowhead Stadium -- OK, the Broncos have scored an NFL-best 114 points in their first three games, but they have also allowed 84, second most in the AFC. That should help the anemic Chiefs.

Prediction: Broncos, 30-20

San Francisco 49ers (2-1) at New Orleans Saints (1-2)

1 p.m., Superdome -- Beware the suddenly upstart 49ers, who have found an offense with quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan, a former Saints draft pick. But always beware Reggie Bush.

Prediction: Saints, 34-27

Arizona Cardinals (2-1) at New York Jets (1-2)

1 p.m., Giants Stadium -- The Cardinals decided to stay on the East Coast last week after their loss to the Redskins, so jet lag won't be a problem. In fact, the only air problems might be stopping Brett Favre.

Prediction: Cardinals, 23-17

Green Bay Packers (2-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1)

1 p.m., Raymond James Stadium -- Brian Griese attempted 67 passes in last week's overtime victory against the Bears. That's eight more than Ben Roethlisberger has attempted this season.

Prediction: Buccaneers, 23-21

Minnesota Vikings (1-2) at Tennessee Titans (3-0)

1 p.m., LP Field -- It's not even October, and each team has already switched to its backup QB. The Titans, though, are better off with Kerry Collins, the reason they are seeking their first 4-0 start.

Prediction: Titans, 20-16

San Diego Chargers (1-2) at Oakland Raiders (1-2)

4:05 p.m., McAfee Coliseum -- Scoring points has not been a problem for the Chargers, who are averaging nearly 37 points per game. Neither has beating the Raiders, who have lost the past nine meetings.

Prediction: Chargers, 41-24

Buffalo Bills (3-0) at St. Louis Rams (0-3)

4:05 p.m., Edward Jones Dome -- The Rams are benching Marc Bulger and will start Trent Green. After allowing a league-high 116 points, have they thought about changing defensive coordinators?

Prediction: Bills, 30-18

Washington Redskins (2-1) at Dallas Cowboys (3-0)

4:15 p.m., Texas Stadium -- The Redskins are starting to look like the team that won their final four to make the playoffs in '07. But the Cowboys are looking like the team that started 4-0 last year, too.

Prediction: Cowboys, 28-20

Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) at Chicago Bears (1-2)

8:15 p.m., Soldier Field -- This will come down to which unit is more tired: The Bears secondary from chasing Brian Griese's 67 passes or the Eagles defensive line from sacking Steelers QBs nine times?

Prediction: Eagles, 23-19
