FSN Pittsburgh will carry at least 47 Penguins games in high definition this season, including the first two from Sweden. The station carried 36 games in HD last season. FSN is attempting to increase the total to as many as 57, but the exact figure won't be determined until later.

Cable customers of Verizon, which operates in some Western Pennsylvania communities but not Pittsburgh, will not have FSN in high definition at the start of the season. The sides are in negotiations, but nothing is expected before the end of the year.
